What is a School as Community Centre?

Families NSW, through the Department of Education and Training, operates 47 Schools as Community Centres across NSW, linking families with young children to their local school.

Families NSW supports parenting helplines

Parenting can be a challenging experience. Families NSW has infromation about the telephone helplines that parents can call for advice about parenting and where to get support.

Triple P - Positive Parenting Program

The NSW Government has announced that all families in NSW with children 3-8 years will have free access to the Positive Parenting Program or Triple P. Triple P is a well regarded, Australian designed parenting program that assists parents to learn how simple routines and changes can make a big difference to your family.

 

Your Child's Health Record - the Blue Book

Every child in NSW receives a personal health record at birth. The Blue Book gives parents information about child development, screening and immunisations Image 23

Evaluation - Families NSW Supported Playgroups

Families NSW has completed an evaluation of its Supported Playgroups across NSW.  

Supported Playgroups are a great way for parents to connect with their community, learn about their child's development with assistance from a trained coordinator.
